Job summary

Tyson Foods is seeking a Food Safety & Quality Assurance Supervisor for the Newbern Plant in Newbern, TN. You will lead FSQA technicians on the assigned shift, ensure records accuracy, and support audits.

Responsibilities include production oversight, HACCP reassessment, regulatory communication, and training of team members on food safety practices. This role requires flexibility with hours and occasional weekend coverage.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED; a Bachelor's degree is preferred.
• At least 1 year in a food manufacturing environment; supervisory experience preferred.
• HACCP/HARPC certifications are preferred; knowledge of HACCP, USDA, GMP, and SSOPs.
• Basic computer skills; SAP knowledge preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication across all levels.

Responsibilities

• Lead FSQA technicians on the assigned shift.
• Record verification: ensure all records are accurate and up-to-date.
• Conduct audits and assist the FSQA manager in ensuring compliance with quality standards.
• Prepare the facility for GFSI and customer-specific audits.
• Investigate and address customer complaints, foreign material incidents, and environmental issues.
• Verify production paperwork and conduct production floor checks.
• Execute GMP and housekeeping audits.
• Oversee the HACCP reassessment.
• Facilitate Team Member food safety training.
• Flexibility in work hours; coverage on other shifts as needed; occasional weekend work.
• Regulatory communication with onsite regulators (USDA).
