Job summary

Alpha Executive Search is seeking an experienced Food Safety & Quality Assurance Manager to lead the FSQA function at a fast-paced food manufacturing facility in Utah or Indiana with relocation assistance. You will oversee food safety, quality, sanitation, regulatory compliance, audits, and continuous improvement, building a strong FSQA team across shifts while supporting new products and plant trials.

Candidates should have 10+ years of FSQA experience, USDA-FSIS regulated manufacturing

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
• 10+ years of food safety/quality experience preferred.
• USDA-FSIS regulated food manufacturing experience required.
• HACCP, PCQI, and/or GFSI certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of FSQA employees across multiple shifts.
• Manage food safety, quality, sanitation, and regulatory programs.
• Ensure compliance with USDA/FDA regulations, GFSI standards, and customer requirements.
• Maintain HACCP and Food Safety Plans.
• Lead USDA, customer, and third-party audits.
• Monitor sanitation performance and drive improvements with Operations.
• Lead root cause investigations and corrective actions.
• Investigate customer complaints and implement solutions.
• Analyze quality data and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Support new products, equipment installations, plant trials, and commercialization.
• Oversee microbiological and analytical testing.
• Maintain plant-wide FSQA training programs.
• Build a strong culture of food safety, accountability, and continuous improvement

We are seeking an experienced Food Safety & Quality Assurance Manager to lead the FSQA function for a fast-paced food manufacturing facility. This position will oversee the plant’s food safety, quality, sanitation, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement programs while developing and leading a strong FSQA team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and develop a team of 6–15 FSQA employees across multiple shifts
• Manage food safety, quality, sanitation, and regulatory programs
• Ensure compliance with USDA/FDA regulations, GFSI standards, and customer requirements
• Maintain HACCP and Food Safety Plans
• Lead USDA, customer, and third-party audits
• Monitor sanitation performance and partner with Operations to drive improvements
• Lead root cause investigations and corrective actions
• Investigate customer complaints and implement solutions
• Analyze quality data and identify opportunities for improvement
• Support new products, equipment installations, plant trials, and commercialization
• Oversee microbiological and analytical testing
• Maintain plant-wide FSQA training programs
