Responsibilities:

  • Perform pre-operational, operational, and post-operational checks, including temperature checks, cooler/freezer checks, thermometer calibration, and sanitizer checks.
  • Verify cleaning activities of third-party cleaning companies.
  • Respond to questions regarding food safety processes.
  • Reinforce GMP best practices through regular floor walks and self-audits.
  • Escalate non-compliance issues to the Hygiene & Quality Assurance Manager and Department Manager, and follow up on corrective actions.
  • Conduct traceability audits, lab collections, and swab testing regularly.
  • Ensure quality assurance, product/food safety, and regulatory compliance according to local, state, federal, and international health and food safety regulations.
  • Support customer audits, health department inspections, training, and consultations, ensuring employee compliance with standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a hospitality, food production environment, or catering establishment focusing on floor monitoring, food safety, and quality parameters.
  • Knowledge of HACCP, ISO, and food safety systems.
  • Food Safety Certification, as applicable by state.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • HACCP certification preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work different shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
