Job summary

CKCB in Los Angeles is seeking a Senior Manager to lead Food Safety, Quality Assurance, and Regulatory Compliance across our central kitchen and bakery. You will oversee FSQA programs, audits, and traceability, ensuring compliance with LA County Public Health, state codes, FSMA, and FSIS.

You will manage a team, drive continuous improvements, and coordinate with operations for safe production and regulatory readiness. Extensive travel and training are involved.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science or Microbiology, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years in food safety and quality assurance.
• Strong knowledge of LA County Health, California Retail Food Code, FSMA, FSIS, and GFSI.
• Experience managing regulatory inspections and third‑party audits.
• Proven leadership in a dynamic food production environment.
• Excellent problem solving and data‑driven corrective actions.
• Bilingual English and one of Chinese, Spanish, Vietnamese, or Tagalog preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and oversee FSQA programs for compliance with LA County and federal regs.
• Lead HACCP, GMP, sanitation, and traceability programs.
• Prepare for and manage regulatory and third‑party audits (SQF, FSIS, FDA).
• Act as facility liaison during inspections and respond to violations.
• Supervise FSQA staff and provide coaching and training.
• Maintain document control and timely reporting of FSQA activities.
• Collaborate with operations and maintenance to integrate regulatory requirements.
• Lead supplier approvals and verification for raw materials and packaging.
