Job summary

Schwan's Company is seeking a qualified candidate for a full-time manufacturing quality role in the food production environment in Sidney, Ohio. You will monitor HACCP/GMP adherence, analyze and maintain QA documentation, and collaborate with Food Chemistry, Microbiology, and Product Development to ensure product safety and quality.

The position involves preparing quality reports, processing SAP transactions for product releases, investigating incidents, and providing GMP training; 0–1 year

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 0–1 year of experience.
• Knowledge of HACCP; HACCP certification preferred.
• Ability to work in a variety of temperatures.
• Learn and operate standard laboratory equipment and document daily information.

Responsibilities

• Monitor HACCP and GMP adherence; report deviations to management.
• Prepare, analyze, and maintain quality reports and SAP transactions for product release from QA hold.
• Verify regulatory compliance of manufacturing formulas and procedures; initiate corrective actions as needed.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Food Chemistry, Microbiology, Sensory, Product Development) for samples and testing.
• Conduct investigations into food safety incidents and deliver GMP and food safety training.

Starting Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour Additional $1.50 shift differential from 2:30PM p.m. -- 4:00 a.m. Shift: 2nd FLEX Hours: 6:00PM - 4:30AM

What You Will Do:

• Monitor and ensure daily adherence to Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), promptly reporting any deviations or issues to management.

• Prepare, analyze, and maintain quality reports and documentation, including specification notices, trend analyses, and SAP transaction processing for product release from QA hold.

• Verify regulatory compliance of manufacturing formulas and procedures, initiating corrective actions as needed to maintain product quality and safety.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Food Chemistry, Microbiology, Sensory, and Product Development to obtain samples and information for comprehensive product testing.

• Conduct investigations into food safety incidents, perform formulation audits, and deliver GMP and food safety training to ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards.

What You Will Bring:

• High school diploma or GED preferred.

• Minimum of 0 to 1 year of experience.

• Demonstrate knowledge of HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points) as it applies to specific plant operations (HACCP certification preferred).

• Work in a variety of temperatures.

• Learn and operate standard laboratory equipment and keep accurate documentation of daily information.
