Job summary

HP Hood LLC in the United States is seeking a Quality Assurance professional to plan, coordinate, and direct QA programs that ensure the quality of dairy products produced to established standards. You will apply SPC methods, supervise QA staff, and communicate with management to drive continuous improvement.

A bachelor’s degree in Food Technology or Dairy Science (or equivalent dairy manufacturing experience) and strong communication skills are required.

• Minimum of two years training and experience in dairy manufacturing

Responsibilities

• Formulates and maintains QA objectives aligned with policies.
• Interprets QA philosophy to key personnel.
• Reviews design documentation for QA compliance, including vendor manuals and records.
• Applies SPC to analyze data and evaluate processes.
• Decides product acceptance or vendor continuation after QA review.
• Reviews QA data to ensure consistency with policies.
• Develops new QA problem-solving approaches.
• Keeps management informed of QA issues and improvements.
• Prepares and presents QA technical information to management.
• Directs QA staff and activities.
• Maintains knowledge of QA codes and standards.
• Active role on QA management teams.

Job Summary

Plans, coordinates, and directs quality assurance program designed to ensure quality production of products consistent with established standards by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.

Work Schedule

M-F 7:30am to 5:00pm; Some weekends/off-shift hours required based on business need.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Formulates and maintains quality assurance objectives complementary to corporate policies and goals.
• Interprets quality assurance philosophy to key personnel in organization.
• Performs quality engineering reviews of design documentation for compliance with stated requirements, including vendor quality manuals and company quality records.
• Applies statistical process control (SPC) methods for analyzing data to evaluate the current process and process changes.
• Decides whether to accept a product or continue business with a vendor based on a review by the quality assurance engineer.
• Reviews all data obtained during all quality assurance activities to ensure consistency with company policies and procedures.
• Develops new approaches to solve problems identified during quality assurance activities.
• Keeps management team abreast of significant issues or developments identified during quality assurance activities and actions being taken to improve the situation.
• Prepares and presents technical and program information to the management team.
• Directs technical and administrative workers engaged in quality assurance activities.
• Maintains a working knowledge of government and industry quality assurance codes and standards.
• Plays an active role on quality management teams within the organization.
• Develops a culture of proactive quality

Education And Experience

Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience and location.

The pay range for this position is

$101,800 - $116,900 USD
