The successful candidate will supervise laboratory activities, conduct internal inspections, manage corrective actions, and ensure regulatory compliance while working closely with production personnel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in science or related field with at least 2 years of related experience.
• Knowledge of HACCP, Food Safety Plans, cGMP and prerequisite programs.
• Proven leadership, coaching and supervision of employees.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance to FSQ Quality Systems. Monitor and address any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety and quality.
• Supervise FSQ personnel and laboratory activities including scheduling, hiring, performance evaluation and termination activities.
• Conduct defined 1:1 meeting frequency with direct reports.
• Assume duties of the FSQ Manager in absence.
• Investigate and document customer complaints to determine root cause and corrective actions.
• Perform internal inspections of personnel, plant equipment and environment and lead corrective actions.
• Monitor hold/release activities and initiate deviation reports and trends.
• Oversee sanitation activities and EMP sampling/swabbing and root cause analysis.
