Job summary

EY is seeking a qualified professional to lead technology-enabled transformation programs for insurers. You will guide system implementations across Guidewire and related platforms, aligning business needs with architecture and delivery plans.

Role requires strong communication, vendor selection, and collaboration with client teams, with travel to client sites as necessary in a hybrid work model.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Technology or related field with 3+ years of relevant work experience; or a master’s degree with 2+ years of experience.
• Experience with Guidewire, OneShield, Exigen/EIS, Majesco, Duck Creek, Insurity, Sapiens/Adaptik, FirstBest, Business Objects, Cognos, Informatica.
• Proficiency in system selection and implementation, requirements definition, architecture design, integration, data mapping and migration.
• Experience delivering system implementations through all project life cycle phases.
• Experience applying software engineering best practices and tooling.
• Ability to create POCs and present alternative solutions with client teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for client presentations.
• Strategic thinking and research into regulations, industry practice and new technologies.
• Willingness to travel to client sites as needed.

Your Key Responsibilities

You’ll work directly with clients to transform business problems into technology solutions, supporting their efforts to increase effectiveness and efficiency. This includes analysis of business requirements, alignment with technology architecture, infrastructure design, vendor selection, and implementation plans.

• Demonstrate technical capabilities and engineering skills that support the insurance technology system implementation process.
• Remain current on new developments in services capabilities and industry knowledge.
• Lend subject‑matter knowledge to the design and integration phase of each project, providing specificity to architecture, data models, system design, and interfacing requirements.
• Advise clients on a variety of business process services that identify, assess, manage, and measure organizational capabilities; team with client technology professionals or third‑party strategic alliances to implement technology solutions.
• Collaborate with diverse client engagement teams, fostering an innovative and inclusive, team‑oriented work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Technology or related field with 3+ years of relevant work experience at a Property and Casualty Insurance carrier or consulting firm; or a master’s degree with 2+ years of relevant work experience.
• Previous application experience in any of the following: Guidewire, OneShield, Exigen/EIS, Majesco, Duck Creek, Insurity, Sapiens/Adaptik, FirstBest, Business Objects, Cognos, Informatica.
• Proficiency in one or more of the following: System selection and implementation, definition of business and technical requirements, design of business and technology architecture, application configuration/integration, data mapping, conversion, migration.
• Ability to deliver system implementation through all phases of the project life cycle, including requirements definition, architecture design, conversion and testing; based on a proven methodology.
• Experience implementing best practices of software engineering processes, code review methodologies, and deploying code optimization tools and techniques.
• Experience creating POCs for complex design methodologies and providing alternative solution options, working closely with client counterparts.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical writing and client presentations.
• Strategic thinking and ability to research client inquiries and emerging issues related to regulations, industry practice and new application technologies.
• Readiness to travel to client sites as necessary.

Ideally, You’ll Also Have

• Experience with management reporting enhancement, business intelligence/decision support, data warehousing/enterprise data design and management, or enterprise application integration.
• Experience performing impact analyses and driving end‑to‑end solutions across connecting systems.
