Job summary

EY is seeking a consulting professional to help asset management clients align operating models with strategic goals. You will work with both traditional and alternative asset management clients, delivering advisory services and building strong client relationships.

You will mentor junior colleagues and collaborate across teams to expand client engagements, while traveling as needed to meet client needs and foster delivery excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with ~8 years of related experience or graduate degree with ~7 years of related experience.
• Degree in business, finance, accounting, CS, engineering or related field; MBA/MS preferred.
• Experience at a professional services firm or financial services company as an advisor.

Assist our clients better align their organizations' operating infrastructures with their strategies. We have a broad range of capabilities to assist clients with operational improvement, profitability management, finance function activities, and business integration. Your time will be dedicated to the Asset Management business--both Traditional and Alternative. Your key responsibilities

Building relationships is the key. You will be a high-profile contact when it comes to motivating client engagement teams with diverse skills and backgrounds by fostering an innovative and inclusive team-orientated work environment. As you build knowledge and experience, you'll become a credible advisor to junior consultants within the organization as well as the clients.

To qualify for the role you must have

• Bachelor's degree and approximately 8 years of related work experience; or graduate degree and approximately 7 year of related work experience
• Degree in business, finance, accounting, computer science, engineering, or a related field; MBA or MS degree preferred
• Minimum of 5 year of experience working at a professional services firm, financial services company or comparable experience working as an advisor to a financial services company
• Experience working in an asset management firm, private bank, investment area of an insurance company, mutual fund complex, third-party service provider, or as a consultant in one of these companies
• Demonstrated ability to manage and supervise a team through all phases of the initiative life cycle
• Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, client service and technical writing skills, coupled with a strong interest in further developing industry and deep content knowledge in the Asset Management area
• Ability and comfort level researching client inquiries and emerging issues, including regulations, industry practices, and new technologies
• Willingness to travel to meet client needs and a valid driver's license and passport required

Ideally, you'll also have

• Prior consulting experience with a consulting firm or large global financial institution

• We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $150,400 to $343,600. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $180,500 to $390,500. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.
• Join us in our team-led and leader-enabled hybrid model. Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year.
