GENERAL FUNCTION

The Associate Optometrist is a leader in the organization, delivering the brand promise, experience, and key results through collaboration and teamwork. Ensures all patients receive the highest quality optometric care by performing clinical protocols, maximizing results, and practicing growth through strong partnerships with the MOD, SMM, and team. Serves as a brand ambassador, driven by passion and high standards to exceed expectations.

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Ensure executional excellence and winning results in partnership with the MOD and store team.
  2. Demonstrate commitment to exceeding results through KPI management and accountability.
  3. Establish the brand as the leading optical provider within the community.
  4. Operate as a successful stakeholder with all organizational leaders and the local market.
  5. Prioritize patient/customer needs and deliver excellent service.
  6. Strive to exceed all KPI expectations.
  7. Provide unsurpassed patient service by:
    1. Addressing all visual lifestyle needs
    2. Making eyewear recommendations based on patient needs
    3. Explaining each step of the eye exam and listening carefully
    4. Using tools and visual aids to ensure patient understanding
    5. Communicating the importance of annual eye exams and scheduling follow-ups
    6. Conducting services according to protocols and standards of care
  8. Ensure accurate diagnoses and appropriate recommendations.
  9. Build positive doctor-patient relationships.
  10. Leverage technology to enhance patient experiences.
  11. Maintain office systems and state licensure.
  12. Provide training and guidance to team members using company programs.
  13. Deliver motivating and constructive feedback timely.
  14. Create a positive culture aligned with corporate values.
  15. Encourage decision-making at the closest level to the patient.
  16. Maximize partnerships through leadership and involvement.
  17. Maintain a professional office appearance and a safe working environment.
  18. Lead by example.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  1. Doctor of Optometry degree
  2. Commitment to quality patient care
  3. Knowledge of current optometric theories and technology
  4. Strong communication and listening skills
  5. Problem-solving abilities
  6. Organizational skills
