Utz Quality Foods is seeking a dedicated Fryer Operator for the Hanover, PA facility on the Weekend Days Shift. The role focuses on preparing fryers, monitoring performance, and maintaining quality across production.

Responsibilities include daily shutdowns, sanitation, blade changes, and cross-training as needed, with emphasis on safety, GMP adherence, and accurate record-keeping. Training newcomers is encouraged in a teamwork-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks (standing, bending, lifting).
• Prior machine operating experience or understanding of machinery is a plus, but not required.
• Strong attention to safety and ability to follow procedures.
• Basic math, reading, and computer skills.
• Strong communication skills and ability to report issues.
• Willingness to train new and/or inexperienced fryer operators.

• Keep accurate, complete, and legible operation records and log sheets.
• Conduct weekly sanitation procedures for fryer and related equipment.
• Change and set machine blades as needed.
• Serve as a peeler/fryer operator when cross-training other team members.
• Follow all safety rules and work safely at all times.
• Report any unsafe equipment or practices to the supervisor.
• Work proactively as part of a cross-functional team.
• Adhere to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor

Utz Quality Foods is looking to grow our loyal, career driven, and customer focused team, and are currently recruiting for aFryer Operatorto join our team of manufacturing professionals inHanover, PAon our new Weekend Days Shift.

As aRelief Operatorthis candidate will be responsible for removing waste from the conveyor belt that holds peeled potatoes and will also cut oversized potatoes and spots from all potatoes. T his position works Friday to Sunday5:55AM-5:55PM.
