Utz Quality Foods in Hanover, PA is seeking a Fryer Operator for the Weekend Days Shift to join our manufacturing team.

You will operate fryer equipment, monitor product quality, and perform cleaning and record-keeping duties. The role requires physical work including lifting up to 50 lbs, and adherence to GMPs and safety rules. Shift runs Friday to Sunday 5:55 AM–5:55 PM.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Prior machine operating experience is a plus but not required.
• Strong attention to safety and ability to follow procedures.
• Basic math, reading, and computer skills.
• Strong communication skills and ability to report issues.

Responsibilities

• Prepare fryer and related components for startup.
• Monitor equipment performance and product quality during production.
• Maintain output and quality; report unusual rejections to supervisor.
• Perform daily equipment shutdown and cleaning duties.
• Keep accurate operation records and log sheets.
• Conduct weekly sanitation for fryer and equipment.
• Change and set machine blades as needed.
• Cross-train to peel/fry and assist others when needed.
• Follow safety rules and work safely at all times.
• Report unsafe equipment or practices to supervisor.
• Work as part of a cross-functional team.
• Adhere to GMPs and perform other duties as assigned.

Utz Quality Foods is looking to grow our loyal, career driven, and customer focused team, and are currently recruiting for aFryer Operatorto join our team of manufacturing professionals inHanover, PAon our new Weekend Days Shift.

As aRelief Operatorthis candidate will be responsible for removing waste from the conveyor belt that holds peeled potatoes and will also cut oversized potatoes and spots from all potatoes. T his position works Friday to Sunday5:55AM-5:55PM.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare fryer and associated components for startup.
• Monitor equipment performance and product quality throughout production.
• Maintain proper output and quality levels; report any unusual product rejections to the supervisor.
• Perform daily equipment shutdown and cleaning duties.
• Keep accurate, complete, and legible operation records and log sheets.
• Conduct weekly sanitation procedures for fryer and related equipment.
• Change and set machine blades as needed.
• Serve as a peeler/fryer operator when cross-training other team members.
• Follow all safety rules and work safely at all times.
• Report any unsafe equipment or practices to the supervisor.
• Work proactively as part of a cross-functional team.
• Adhere to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor

Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks (standing, bending, lifting).
• Prior machine operating experience or understanding of machinery is a plus, but not required .
• Strong attention to safety and ability to follow procedures.
• Basic math, reading, and computer skills.
• Strong communication skills and ability to report issues.
• Willingness to train new and/or inexperienced fryer operators.
