Job summary

Edible Arrangements in Lenexa, KS is seeking a Fruit Expert and Designer to transform orders into delightful fruit arrangements while delivering friendly customer service. You'll take customer orders by phone, in person, and online, and design edible products that meet company standards.

This is a tipped, part-time position. You will work with teammates and store leadership to ensure a positive customer experience and maintain a clean, organized workspace.

Job Summary:

As a Fruit Expert and Designer at Edible Arrangements, you'll play a key role in creating fresh, beautiful fruit arrangements while delivering top-notch customer service. You'll take customer orders by phone, in person, and online, making sure every order is processed accurately and fulfilled with care. Beyond customer service, you'll design and prepare fruit bouquets, dipped fruit boxes, platters, and dessert boards that elevate the in-store experience. This is a tipped position — in addition to your hourly wage, you'll have the opportunity to earn tips. Working closely with customers, teammates, and store leadership, you'll help ensure every customer walks away with a positive, memorable Edible Arrangements experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Greet and engage every customer to understand their needs and offer product suggestions that enhance their experience
• Accept and process orders accurately across phone, in-store, and online channels, ensuring everything is properly recorded
• Design and prepare Edible Arrangements products — including fruit bouquets, dipped fruit boxes, platters, and dessert boards — following company standards and portion guidelines
• Follow all food safety and sanitation standards during preparation, packaging, and handling
• Keep the work environment clean and organized, including routine tasks like taking out trash and cleaning equipment, utensils, and workstations
• Work as part of a team to keep store tasks running smoothly and on schedule
• Take direction from store leadership and assist with additional tasks as needed

Experience & Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office and point-of-sale systems
• Willingness to learn and follow quality, cleanliness, and food safety standards
• Strong customer service skills, with the ability to build lasting relationships and customer loyalty
• Ability to handle challenging customer interactions calmly and professionally
• Eagerness to learn all aspects of the role and grow with the position
• Punctual and dependable, able to work scheduled shifts consistently
• Open to feedback and coaching from supervisors and managers
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Positive attitude and comfort working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Physical and Additional Requirements:

• Ability to lift, carry, and/or push objects up to 50 lbs.
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and scooping throughout shifts
• Ability to stand for extended periods, up to 85% of a shift
