Job summary

ShopRite of Center Square in Woolwich, NJ is hiring a Frozen Foods Clerk to price, stock and rotate merchandise, maintaining a neat and appealing department and delivering a great customer experience.

You will follow safety and QA standards, operate equipment, assist the Frozen Manager, and work with others to meet store goals in a fast-paced retail environment.

This role requires physical stamina, the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and a commitment to friendly service for shoppers.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, speak, analyze, interpret, and understand the English language.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Ability to stand/walk for the duration of a scheduled shift.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs. and occasionally 50 lbs.
• Ability to work with fresh, dried and/or processed products without negative allergic effects.
• Ability to climb a ladder to retrieve items from overhead racking and storage areas.
• Ability to work in refrigerated coolers and high moisture rooms for extended periods.
• Ability to tolerate varying temperatures and dust.
• Ability to interact with customers in a friendly and helpful way.
• Ability to work cooperatively with others.
• Ability to adhere to schedules and attendance policies.

Responsibilities

• Maintain sanitation and QA standards in the department.
• Operate a baler and compactor.
• Monitor refrigerated storage areas and report issues promptly.
• Know Frozen products and their preparation, pricing and differences.
• Maintain stock using CGO Hand Held Terminal and ensure product availability.
• Maintain equipment and report problems.
• Communicate within the department and company.
• Keep work area clean, organized, and safe.
