Job summary

ShopRite in New Jersey seeks an energetic Frozen Department Associate to price, stock, rotate merchandise, and deliver a great customer experience while maintaining a clean, safe, and visually appealing department.

You will handle duties such as sanitation, stock control, equipment operation, and supporting the Frozen Manager. Candidates must lift up to 50 lbs, work in cold environments, and read English proficiently; flexible schedules are required for this role.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak, analyze and understand English.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Ability to stand/walk for the duration of a shift.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs, and occasionally 50 lbs.
• Ability to work with fresh, dried and/or processed products without allergic reactions.
• Ability to climb a ladder to access overhead storage areas.
• Ability to work in refrigerated coolers and high moisture rooms.
• Ability to tolerate dust and cleaning agents during housekeeping duties.
• Ability to interact with Customers in a friendly and helpful way.
• Ability to work cooperatively with others and adhere to schedules.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Department sanitation and QA standards.
• Operate a baler and compactor.
• Monitor temperatures and conditions of refrigerated areas and display cases.
• Be knowledgeable of Frozen products and pricing differences.
• Maintain stock using Hand Held Terminal and CGO tools.
• Report equipment problems promptly and maintain equipment as required.
• Keep department communication and a safe work environment.
• Stock and rotate frozen merchandise according to standards.
• Assist Frozen Manager as needed.
• Ensure correct pricing and visible signage for featured items.
