Albertsons Companies seeks a dynamic Frozen Foods Department leader to deliver exceptional customer experiences, maintain safe and clean store operations, and drive department sales and profitability. You will supervise daily activities, guide associates, and ensure adherence to safety, quality, and regulatory standards.

Ideal candidates bring strong retail management experience, P&L understanding, and a commitment to the Customer 1st strategy.

Qualifications

• Requires an extensive retail background with prior management experience related to retail operations.
• Strong written and oral communication skills, good leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of employment laws and workplace practices.
• Extensive working knowledge of profit and loss statements.
• Familiar with emergency plans in the event of disasters or unusual events.

Responsibilities

• Communicate company, department, and job specific information to associates.
• Establish performance goals for department and empower associates to meet or exceed targets.
• Develop adequate scheduling to manage customer volume throughout hours of operation.
• Train staff on performance and participate in appraisal processes.
• Adhere to all laws and company guidelines.
• Create an environment where customers feel welcome and attended to, answering questions about products.
• Prepare and submit seasonal critiques for the sales and merchandising supervisor.
• Implement the period promotional plan for the department.
• Assist management in budgeting, P&L reviews, and action on financial reports.
• Maintain inventory awareness and note discrepancies.
• Able to work at any location in the district.
• Schedule price changes and signage.
• Train staff on inventory/stocking and C.A.O.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and maintain proper temperatures.
• Ensure safe environment and report safety risks.
• May travel; nights, weekends and holidays possible.

Education

High school education or equivalent preferred
