Job summary

Food Lion North Charleston store is seeking a Perishable Department associate to provide quality customer service and maintain department standards. You will help with stocking, labeling, rotating perishables, and ensuring food safety practices.

You will collaborate with teammates, handle deliveries, and use store tools like ACIS and CAO to manage inventory and ordering while upholding company policies and a neat, safe work environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and customer service skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Ability to use technical information to solve problems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain enthusiastic customer awareness with fast, friendly, and accurate service to create a positive shopping experience.
• Courteous and helpful to other associates.
• Receive deliveries, code where applicable, rotate and store items.
• Ensure proper product levels in all Perishable Department areas (meat, lunchmeat, dairy, ice cream).
• Wrap, label, weigh and stock meat case as requested.
• Clean and sanitize the department and maintain standards.
• Follow safety guidelines and report accidents per procedures.
• Wear uniform and maintain neat appearance.
