You will oversee daily operations, manage ordering and inventory, and drive sales and profitability while maintaining freshness and safety standards. A strong focus on teamwork and community involvement is expected.

Qualifications

• Previous retail experience, preferably in a supervisory or department manager role.
• Strong understanding of department operations, including ordering, merchandising, and inventory management.
• Passion for retail and delivering outstanding customer service.
• Ability to work weekends and holidays as required.
• Physical ability to lift 40-60 lbs as part of daily responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all day-to-day operations of the Frozen and Dairy Departments, ensuring smooth and efficient workflow.
• Achieve sales, gross profit, and labor goals for the departments.
• Manage ordering, inventory control, and restocking to ensure shelves are fully stocked and products are fresh.
• Merchandise products effectively to maximize sales and maintain an appealing department layout.
• Schedule and supervise department staff to ensure adequate coverage and excellent customer service.
• Monitor product expiration dates and ensure all items meet quality and safety standards.
• Assist with unloading daily deliveries and organizing stock in storage areas.
• Contribute to a positive team environment and uphold Teal’s Market’s commitment to customer satisfaction and community involvement.
