Job summary

Food Lion in Grandy, NC is seeking a dedicated team member to provide quality customer service within the Perishable Department. You will help maintain product integrity, assist customers, and support daily operations in a fast-paced retail setting.

Responsibilities include receiving deliveries, rotating stock, maintaining meat, dairy and frozen sections, and following safety guidelines. You will complete CBT and training modules while upholding Food Lion policies and appearance standards.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and customer service skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Ability to use technical information to solve problems.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions.
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain enthusiastic customer awareness with fast, friendly, and accurate service to create a positive shopping experience.
• Be courteous and helpful to other associates.
• Understand and use company tools such as ACIS and CAO.
• Receive deliveries, code where applicable, rotate and store.
• Ensure ordering, receiving, preparation, conditioning and displaying of merchandise per policies.
• Maintain proper product levels in all Perishable Department areas (meat, lunch meat, dairy, ice cream).
• Process beef and grinds as directed from the production tool and as needed.
• Wrap, label, weigh and stock meat case as requested or needed.
• Assemble, disassemble, and clean the grinder as requested or needed.
• Clean and sanitize the department.
• Maintain layout standards and advertise appropriately.
• Follow Food Safety and Workplace Safety guidelines.
• Report accidents to the Manager on Duty.
• Ensure compliance with local, state and federal regulations.
• Wear the Food Lion uniform with name badge, neat appearance; follow dress code.
• Complete CBT, Training Packet and Training Aid courses.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
