Job summary

Transportation Security Administration seeks Transportation Security Officers responsible for protecting travelers across all transportation sectors in a courteous and professional manner. Duties may include securing high-profile events or figures, or anything impacting our transportation systems.

To qualify for the SV-D pay band (GS-5/6 equivalent), you must meet one of two requirements: either one year of full-time security-related experience or a high school diploma or equivalent credential.

Qualifications

• A. Experience: At least one year of full-time work experience in the security industry, aviation screening, or as an X-ray technician.
• B. Education: Have a high school diploma, GED, HiSET, or TASC high school equivalency certificate.

Responsibilities

• Provide security and protection of travelers across transportation sectors in a courteous, professional manner.
• Duties may extend to securing high-profile events, figures, or anything impacting transportation systems.
