Job summary

Singing River Ocean Springs Hospital is seeking a Surgical Technologist to handle instruments, supplies and equipment during procedures. The role requires maintaining a sterile field, anticipating surgeon needs, and preparing the room for surgery.

Preferred are a Surgical Technologist certificate, BCLS, and de-escalation training within 90 days. Prior experience is a plus; shifts rotate 0630-1500 and call coverage may apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program preferred.
• Current Surgical Technologist certification preferred.
• Must complete and maintain BCLS certification upon hire/transfer.
• De-escalation training required within 90 days of orientation.
• Prior experience as a Surgical Technologist preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room before surgery and arrange instruments and supplies.
• Assist the surgeon during procedures and maintain the sterile field.
• Ensure safe handling of equipment, instruments, and patient care during operations.
• Travel within the SRHS service area as needed and support rotating shifts.
