Job description

Role:To build relationships with regional healthcare providers and manage clinical site placements for grant educational institutions. The Clinical Site Coordinator will become a regional healthcare education program expert for the grant, using their knowledge to cultivate relationships as they travel through the western Kansas region. This position is grant funded, and continued employment is contingent upon ongoing funding.Essential Functions & Responsibilities:Collaborate with Grant Manager and Outreach Liaison to strengthen current relationships and develop new relationships with regional healthcare stakeholders, forming mutually beneficial partnerships between healthcare providers, educational institutions, and current and prospective students.Foster current and develop new relationships with western Kansas healthcare providers to ensure clinical placement sites for students in healthcare programs at grant-associated educational institutions.Build and maintain positive relationships with clinical site staff, proactively addressing burnout and barriers to student engagement by developing strategies, incentives, and supports that promote a welcoming and sustainable clinical learning environment.Coordinate with program faculty and staff to ensure placement requirements, documentation and other needs are met for healthcare students.In consultation with program directors and others, refine placement processes and documentation, manage records and clearly communicate with all stakeholders.Frequently travel within western Kansas, typically with same-day return.Performance Measurements:To collaborate and coordinate with Frontline Futures project staff to meet established goals and objectives of the grant project.To ensure that all activities and objectives are addressed in a timely fashion.To keep all assigned files and records current and well organized.To maintain a friendly, professional, and collaborative work environment and attitude when working with others.To function as an integral member of grant project team.Knowledge and Skills:Experience: Strong background in one of the following fields is required:' education (preferably postsecondary)' healthcareStrong interpersonal skills and organizational skills.Ability to work as part of a team.Education: Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in healthcare field, education, community relations, or related field; Experience in previous roles that translates well to these job expectations will also be considered.Interpersonal Skills: Work regularly involves contact with persons beyond immediate associates generally regarding routine matters for the purposes of giving or obtaining information regarding the grant project which may require some discussion. A significant portion of work will involve outside contacts within the healthcare industry and potential students requiring ordinary courtesy in providing information and discussion.Other Skills: Self-motivated with excellent organizational, project and time management skills.
