Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prevents crimes and preserves public safety; patrols county roads and enforces traffic laws.
• Writes clear reports and attends in-service training; cares for department vehicles and equipment.
• Controls traffic at emergencies; assists other agencies as needed.
• Interviews suspects, victims, and witnesses; collects statements and evidence; may transfer cases to investigators.
