Responsibilities

• Receive investigation assignments and conduct historical checks of records to determine prior agency involvement.
• Recognize signs and symptoms of child maltreatment and investigates reports.
• Conduct safety and risk assessments and monitor safety plans, making referrals as appropriate.
• Prepare for, attend, and testify in court hearings and administrative appeals on investigations.
• Document initial and ongoing work per policy and train new staff in the unit.
