Job summary

Google Cloud is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to bridge frontier AI products with production-grade deployments inside customer environments. You will code, debug, and ship bespoke agentic solutions, moving from prototypes to production alongside an expert team.

In this high-autonomy role, you will tackle integration, data readiness, and state-management challenges, enabling enterprise-grade AI at scale while collaborating with pre-sales, product, and customers worldwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, CS, or related field or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of software development experience (Python or similar).
• Experience building AI data pipelines using vector databases and RAG-like architectures.
• Experience taking AI solutions to production on cloud platforms (e.g., Google Cloud).
• Experience leading technical discovery sessions with customers.
• Ability to communicate in French or German with local stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a developer for complex AI applications, transitioning from rapid prototypes to production-grade agentic workflows.
• Architect and code the connective tissue between Google's AI products and customer live infrastructure.
• Build high-performance evaluation pipelines and observability frameworks for accuracy, safety, and latency.
• Identify repeatable field patterns and convert them into reusable modules or feature requests.
• Co-build with pre-sales and product teams to ensure long-term project success and adoption.
