Job summary

Shield Consulting Solutions is seeking a Frontend Software Engineer (React) in Annapolis Junction, MD. The role requires an active TS/SCI w/ Polygraph clearance and involves developing, testing, and enhancing complex software systems in a demanding security environment.

Responsibilities include leveraging React/JavaScript, Git/GitLab, CI/CD, and Kubernetes/Docker expertise, while providing Help Desk support and using JIRA for ticket resolution.

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline; 8 additional years may substitute.

Basic Requirements

• Security+ Cert
• 12 years of experience in the Information Technology field
• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline
  • 8 additional years of experience in the Information Technology field may be substituted for a degree

Job Description

• Develops, maintains, and enhances complex and diverse software systems (e.g., processing-intensive analytics, novel algorithm development, manipulation of extremely large data sets, real-time systems, and business management information systems) based upon documented requirements.
• Review and tests software components for adherence to the design requirements and documents test results.
• Utilize software development and software design methodologies appropriate to the development environment.
• Provide specific input to the software components of system design to include hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, use of Commercial Off-the-shelf (COTS)/Government Off-the-shelf (GOTS) in place of new development, and requirements analysis and synthesis from system level to individual software components.
• Provide Help Desk Support; ticket handling/resolution, utilizing JIRA.

Required Experience

• Proficiency with React and JavaScript
• Proficiency with Git/Gitlab; some knowledge and experience with CI/CD
• Experience with Helm, Kubectl, and Kubernetes
• Experience with Docker

Desired Experience

• Experience with Flux (FluxCD)
• Experience with OAuth2 Proxy
• Experience with Jira and Confluence

Salary: $190,000 - $200,000 annually
