Job summary

Bestow is seeking a frontend engineer to contribute to the Frontend Platform, building scalable UI experiences with React and Remix across devices.

You will collaborate with backend, design, and product teams to deliver features and maintain a GraphQL-based data layer, while ensuring accessibility and quality through tests and reviews.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Strong proficiency in React and Remix.
• Deep understanding of GraphQL data fetching.
• Ability to implement accessible, user-friendly designs.
• Experience with unit and integration tests (Jest, Vitest, RTL).
• Experience managing build and deployment pipelines.

About the Team

The Frontend Platform team is responsible for all frontend applications, libraries, tooling, and infrastructure for Bestow and the Bestow Platform. We serve employees, consumers, and enterprise customers, and integrate and manage many third‑party products used by employees as part of the platform. Frontend Platform works closely with upstream engineering teams, experience design, and product management to define and prioritize the product roadmap.

What You’ll Do

• Use a cutting‑edge frontend platform to develop scalable experiences and make exciting contributions to the platform itself.
• Design, develop, and optimize user interfaces using React, Remix, ensuring they are accessible, intuitive, responsive, and user‑friendly across different devices.
• Collaborate with backend engineers to maintain a GraphQL infrastructure.
• Work closely with designers, backend engineers, and product managers to build and iterate on platform features and ensure alignment on user needs and technical feasibility.
• Implement unit tests and integration tests to ensure code quality and stability.
• Participate in code reviews to maintain high standards.
• Manage build and deployment pipelines using NX and CircleCI to streamline continuous integration, testing, and deployment processes, ensuring fast and reliable delivery of frontend updates.

Who You Are

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required.
• Strong proficiency in React and Remix (or other SSR framework, like NextJS).
• Deep understanding of (or interest in) GraphQL for data fetching, integrating with back‑end systems, and optimizing queries.
• Ability to implement accessible, intuitive, and user‑friendly designs, working closely with design teams to create responsive and aesthetically pleasing interfaces.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with backend engineers, product managers, and designers to ensure alignment on platform features and technical requirements.
• Proficiency in implementing unit tests and integration tests (using tools like Jest, Vitest, React Testing Library).
• Experience managing build and deployment pipelines.
• Solid experience with Git for version control and collaboration through platforms like GitHub or GitLab.
• Familiarity with, or strong interest in, building scalable frontend architectures and frameworks that can easily grow as the platform evolves.
