Job summary

Relativity Space in Long Beach is seeking a Software Engineer II, Front-End Platforms to contribute to the operator UI and shared data layer, building production web apps with TypeScript and React. You’ll work on the frontend platform, design system, and interface components that power our Terran R operations.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, optimize performance, and participate in code reviews.

Qualifications

• Must have 2+ years of experience building production web applications.
• Strong TypeScript and React expertise.
• Experience with shared frontend codebases or design systems.
• Foundational frontend performance optimization skills.
• Experience with state management and real-time data updates in React applications.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the frontend platform for our operator UI, including the application shell, design system, and shared data layer.
• Implement frontend modules following the established architecture and patterns for the unified application.
• Support consolidation by migrating features from separate front ends into the unified platform.
• Work with real-time hardware telemetry and render live data efficiently while maintaining performance.
• Learn from senior engineers, participate in code reviews, and improve frontend skills.
