Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a senior frontend engineer to design and implement React-based features for aviation data platforms. You will architect scalable frontend systems handling real-time and historical data, and collaborate with backend, product, and UX/UI teams to drive architectural decisions.

Role requires 5+ years of experience, deep React/TypeScript expertise, and the ability to work autonomously in a fast-moving environment. Bay Area presence or relocation is expected.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience building high-performance, user-facing web applications.
• Deep expertise in React, TypeScript, JavaScript, state management, HTML/CSS.
• Strong experience with asynchronous frontend patterns and handling live and historical data streams.
• Proven ownership of complex features or product areas from concept through delivery with high autonomy.
• Ability to operate effectively in fast-moving, ambiguous environments.
• Uphold high technical standards through design decisions, code quality, mentorship, and hiring input.
• Analyze and optimize frontend performance for scalability, responsiveness, and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement React-based features and architect frontend systems handling large-scale, real-time, and historical aviation data.
• Integrate, process, and visualize data from live streams and archived datasets.
• Mentor engineers and drive best practices through code reviews and architectural discussions.
• Partner with backend engineers, product managers, and UX/UI designers on design and implementation decisions.
• Ensure reliable and maintainable frontend systems through automated testing, documentation, and engineering standards.
• Build reusable components and internal libraries to accelerate future development.
• Drive frontend technical leadership and strategic direction for high-impact web interfaces integrated with Beacon AI's flight safety platform.
