Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Lead Front End Engineer to drive frontend architecture and delivery in a fast-paced environment. You will work with experts on distributed microservices and modern open source frameworks to build impactful digital experiences for millions of customers.

In this role, you’ll own technical design, mentor engineers, and collaborate with product managers to craft robust cloud-based solutions using JavaScript, Angular, React, Node, TypeScript, and Java across web and mobile

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• At least 4 years of professional software engineering experience (Internship experience does not apply).
• At least 1 year experience with cloud computing (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud).

Responsibilities

• Work with a team of developers with deep experience in distributed microservices and full stack systems
• Perform software development on Front End Applications leveraging a test-driven development pattern
• Own the technical design and development of cross-functional, multi-platform application systems
• Mentor other members of the engineering community and participate in tech communities
• Collaborate with digital product managers to deliver cloud-based experiences for users
• Use JavaScript frameworks (Angular, React, Node), HTML/CSS, TypeScript and Java; RESTful services
