Job summary

Parsons is seeking a Frontend Engineer to design and build data-intensive interfaces for critical defense and national security missions. You will craft responsive UIs using React and TypeScript to help operators understand complex environments.

Work includes 2D/3D maps, real-time data, and geospatial visualization; this hybrid Tampa role requires reporting to the customer site as needed and delivering secure, high-performance frontend solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of professional software engineering with React.
• Strong React and TypeScript experience; modern frontend practices.
• Experience with geospatial data, mapping tech or data visualization.

Responsibilities

• Shape frontend architecture using React, TypeScript, and modern state patterns.
• Build data-rich interfaces for real-time analysis and visualization.
• Develop 2D/3D mapping components with OpenLayers, CesiumJS, or similar tools.
• Work with large datasets, real-time feeds, and multiple map layers.
• Optimize rendering, memory, and network performance for constrained systems.
• Collaborate with UX/UI, product owners, and engineers on secure data pipelines.
