Job summary

Lyft is seeking a Summer Intern in Toronto, open to students pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science. You will work closely with engineers, contribute to user-facing products, and ship features quickly.

The role emphasizes testing, collaboration, and learning in a startup-like environment. Ideal candidates have strong CS fundamentals, experience with Python/JavaScript/React, and familiarity with modern frontend tooling.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science from a university in Canada (required) with a graduation date between December 2027 and Summer 2028 (required).
• For master's candidates with a gap between degrees, less than 2 years of relevant full-time work experience is preferred.
• Available during Summer 2027 for an internship in Toronto.

Responsibilities

• Own your project, coordinating daily with teammates.
• Improve code quality via progressive refactors.
• Emphasize reliability with unit, integration and load tests.
• Participate in code reviews to share knowledge.
• Support CI/CD and deployment processes.
• Contribute to live products benefiting Lyft drivers and riders.
