Job summary

Centerfield is hiring a Frontend Engineer Intern in Playa Vista, CA. You will join an engineering team building high-performance consumer-facing web interfaces used by millions of shoppers and integrate AI-driven workflows to accelerate delivery.

You will contribute to greenfield builds and redesigns of high-traffic sites, working with React, Next.js, and TypeScript, and collaborating with product, design, and engineering to deliver real business value.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Computer Science or a relevant field.
• Solid grounding in modern front-end development and web technologies.
• Familiarity with React, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5 and CSS/Tailwind.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship consumer-facing web applications and features, from greenfield builds to redesigns of existing high-traffic sites.
• Develop responsive, accessible front-end experiences using React, Next.js, and TypeScript, integrating with back-end APIs (Node.js, Java).
• Use and extend our AI development harness: agents, skills, and workflow commands to accelerate delivery.
• Experiment with new ways to apply AI agents to real engineering problems and share results with the team.
• Collaborate with product, design, and engineering to turn business goals into shipped features.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle: design, build, review, ship, iterate.
