Job summary

Northstrat in Maryland is seeking a motivated Frontend Developer to build intuitive applications for a Data Lake/Warehouse. You’ll code in JavaScript/CSS/HTML, review peers’ work, and collaborate with designers, backend engineers, and data scientists to deliver seamless user experiences in a hybrid environment with 2-3 days in Columbia, MD.

Applicants should have 5+ years in frontend, a BS in CS (or 3 years with MS) or equivalent, and a Top Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of frontend software development/engineering with a B.S. Degree in Computer Science or related field; 3 years with a Master's in related field; or 9 years with HS Diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience with JavaScript and one or more web application frameworks (Vue/React/Angular/Backbone) or similar competency.
• Familiarity with Git or other version control software.
• Comfortable working on a Unix/Linux command line.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the creation, enhancement, and maintenance of web applications.
• JavaScript/CSS/HTML coding and code review.
• Collaborate with designers, backend engineers, and data scientists to build holistic user experiences.
• Interact with REST based APIs.
• Troubleshoot customer-reported issues and provide support.
• Write unit tests and perform QA testing.
