Job summary

Twitch Interactive, Inc. seeks a Front-end Engineer to join the Browser Clients Team, delivering high quality Twitch client experiences in a modern TypeScript/React stack.

You will build and evolve the browser-based client framework powering twitch.tv, focusing on performance, scalability, and developer workflows. This role offers multiple US-based office options and a path to influence platform decisions.

Qualifications

• Architectural experience for highly scalable web apps.
• Strong knowledge of web performance, scalability, and security.
• Experience with GraphQL Apollo Client, SCSS/SASS, Webpack.

Responsibilities

• Work effectively with the Browser Clients team and feature teams to build high quality Twitch client experiences.
• Build, maintain and improve platform capabilities, developer workflows, tools, and processes.
• Become an expert in Twitch’s browser-client technology stack and provide guidance to feature teams on front-end use cases and performance in production.
• Contribute to architectural, technical design and process discussions guiding evolution of Twitch’s browser-based clients.
• Identify and uphold frontend engineering best practices through documentation, static analysis, testing and developer education.
