Job summary

Santander Auto Software is seeking a remote Frontend Engineer to join a fully remote software team across Europe. You will develop and evolve frontend components using React.js, Redux and Hooks, and work on a Cloud-native, AWS-based platform in a fast-paced, ownership-driven environment.

The role emphasizes collaboration with product managers and engineers, code from scratch through live running systems, and continuous improvement of performance and UX across international deployments.

Qualifications

• Sustained professional experience in Frontend development, working with React.js.
• Experience with Redux, Webpack, Hooks.
• Strong knowledge of Javascript, CSS, HTML, and Frontend languages.
• Production deployment experience working with AWS.
• Experienced in true Agile and its engineering practices with a true DevOps mindset.

Responsibilities

• Developing, implementing and evolve our frontend architecture.
• Monitoring and improving frontend performance.
• Reviewing application requirements and interface designs.
• Design and deliver functional and quality software, with the focus on developing code from scratch through live running code.
• Design functional software (objects & modules)
• Design and implement performant software using documented algorithms and methods of software optimisation on team’s functional platform tech stack.
• Collaborate with cross functional teams to define, design, test and deliver new features and to articulate technical concepts to the business and technical community.
• Developing code, performing test,trialsand quality checks to ensure strong functionality and optimisation.
• Maintaining and improving systems and software codes to support and improve product.
• Work on bug fixing and improving application performance.
• Keeping details records of development processes.
• Continuously discover,evaluateand implementnew technologiesto maximize development efficiency.
• Gather and evaluate user feedback.
