Job summary

Perplexity AI, Inc. is seeking a frontend engineer to build the design system behind every Perplexity product. You will contribute to the component library, design tokens, and APIs used across web and native platforms.

You will collaborate with designers to translate Figma into typed, accessible components, migrate surfaces to shared primitives, and maintain high interaction quality across web, iOS, Android, macOS, and Windows.

Qualifications

• 4+ years building production frontend.
• Experience with a design system or shared UI.
• Strong React, TypeScript, and CSS.
• Accessible frontends (WCAG/ARIA).
• Collaborate with designers on visual language.

Responsibilities

• Design and build core primitives with coherent APIs.
• Work on design-token pipeline across platforms.
• Translate design language into components.
