Self Financial is hiring an Associate Frontend Software Engineer to help build our mobile app and web experiences. This entry-level role supports customer-facing features across Web, iOS, and Android and provides hands-on learning from senior engineers in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

You will work with HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript, and React to deliver polished interfaces while growing your frontend fundamentals and contributing to a cross-functional product team.

Qualifications

• 0-3 years of software engineering experience.
• Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and modern web development fundamentals.
• Basic understanding of REST APIs.
• Familiarity with Git workflows.
• Interest in writing reliable, tested, accessible, and maintainable code.
• Willingness to learn and grow in a collaborative team.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain customer-facing features across Web, iOS, and Android with guidance.
• Implement frontend functionality using JavaScript/TypeScript, React, HTML, and CSS.
• Contribute to React Native mobile and web experiences as part of a cross-functional product team.
• Integrate frontend components with REST APIs and third-party services.
• Write clean, maintainable code and participate in code reviews.
• Learn and apply best practices for testing, accessibility, performance, and releases.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, Backend Engineering, QA, and managers to ship improvements.
• Debug issues and grow understanding of frontend architecture and development practices.
• Contribute to team rituals, documentation, and continuous improvement.
