Caylent is seeking a Frontend Architect with AWS and AI expertise to lead frontend and edge architecture for a fully remote, globally distributed team. You will mentor engineers, define standards, and partner with design, backend, and cloud/DevOps to ensure secure, scalable frontend solutions.
Responsibilities include technical discovery, architectural decisions, and hands-on coding, with a strong emphasis on AI-powered experiences, performance, and client-facing engagements.
This is a senior individual contributor + technical leadership role at an AWS Premier Partner, which places it at the intersection of high technical depth and client-facing consulting - a rare and valuable combination for career development.
Compensation context: CAD $152,000-$171,000 (approx. USD $111,000-$125,000) for a Frontend Architect in Canada is competitive but not exceptional for this seniority level in major Canadian markets (Toronto, Vancouver). In smaller cities or for fully remote roles, it sits at or above market. The phantom equity and bonus components add meaningful upside.
Culture signals: Caylent presents as a growth-stage, remote-native consultancy with structured values language ("Lead By Example," "Stay Curious"). The unlimited PTO, L&D stipend, and paid certifications suggest genuine investment in employees. Peer bonus awards and phantom equity hint at a collaborative, performance-aware culture.
Green flags: AWS Premier Partner status, real AI-first focus (Anthropic partnership), and clear mentorship expectations. Watch for: consulting roles inherently involve context-switching across clients, which can be demanding. Ensure the client engagement pace suits your preferred depth-of-focus style.
Caylent is an AI-first cloud services company that helps organizations turn ambitious ideas into meaningful business impact. As an AWS Premier Tier Services Partner and a charter member of Anthropic's Claude Partner Network, we combine deep expertise in AWS, artificial intelligence, and Anthropic's Claude platform to help customers modernize their technology, build intelligent products, and move AI from experimentation into production.
Our capabilities span generative and agentic AI, cloud migration and modernization, cloud-native application development, data and analytics, DevOps, managed services, security and compliance, and customer experience transformation. At Caylent, our people always come first.
We are a fully remote global company with employees in Canada, the United States, and Latin America. We celebrate the culture of each of our team members and foster a community of technological curiosity. Come talk to us to learn more about what it means to be a Caylien!
