We are seeking a Front Office Specialist II Urgent Care — someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment. This role involves both clinical and non-clinical duties, including gathering patient information, assessing needs, and providing direct care to patients. The specialist will collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver appropriate care for low-acuity pediatric patients.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist in collecting patient/family data, including biophysical, psychosocial, developmental, cultural, and environmental information per site protocol.
  • Record vital signs, height/weight, and reason for visit; graph data according to protocol.
  • Document current medications, allergies, and other relevant information accurately.
  • Use scripting where appropriate and adhere to standards of behavior.
  • Coordinate referrals, ensuring families have contact information and necessary documentation.
  • Provide general patient care, administer medications and immunizations, and collect specimens for laboratory testing.
  • Perform reception duties, screen phone calls, review billing information, and process patient payments.
  • Maintain the integrity of medical records and monitor patient and practice data.
  • All candidates must undergo respiratory fit testing to ensure workplace safety.

Skills & Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Graduation from a medical assisting or emergency medical technician program preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association required.
  • Minimum of 2 years related experience required.
