Overview

We are seeking a Front Office Specialist II Urgent Care, a role ideal for individuals who excel in a fast-paced environment. The position involves both clinical and non-clinical duties, including gathering information, assessing, and providing direct care to patients. Collaboration with the healthcare team is essential to deliver appropriate care for low-acuity pediatric patients.

Job Duties & Responsibilities
  1. Assist with the collection of patient and family data, including biophysical, psychosocial, developmental, cultural, and environmental information as per site protocol.
  2. Record vital signs, height/weight, and reason for visit accurately.
  3. Document current medications, allergies, and other relevant information with 100% accuracy.
  4. Utilize scripting where appropriate to ensure consistency.
  5. Adhere to established standards of behavior.
  6. Coordinate referrals, providing families with contact information and necessary documentation.
  7. Administer medications and immunizations as required.
  8. Collect specimens and perform laboratory tests.
  9. Maintain the integrity of medical records and monitor patient information and practice data.
  10. All successful candidates will be required to undergo respiratory fit testing to comply with occupational health and safety standards.
Skills & Requirements
  1. High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  2. Graduation from a medical assisting or emergency medical technician program preferred.
  3. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by the American Heart Association required.
  4. Minimum of 2 years related experience.
