Job summary

Samaritan Health Services is seeking a receptionist/administrative support person to assist patients and providers across the SHS system in Corvallis, OR. You will handle front-desk duties, scheduling, and basic administrative tasks to ensure smooth patient flow.

The role supports the Mental Health teams with diverse duties, requiring effective communication, adaptability, and a patient-centered approach in a multi-disciplinary environment.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience or training with computer applications required.
One (1) year experience and/or training in a position of similar responsibility and complexity preferred.
Experience or training in medical/insurance terminology preferred.
Experience with practice management scheduling systems preferred.
Mental Health experience preferred.

Department Description

The Mental Health teams at Samaritan Health Services provide a full range of professional mental health services through a team of highly skilled psychiatrists, psychologists, nurse practitioners and licensed clinical social workers.

Experience / Education / Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience or training with computer applications required.
One (1) year experience and/or training in a position of similar responsibility and complexity preferred.
Experience or training in medical/insurance terminology preferred.
Experience with practice management scheduling systems preferred.
Mental Health experience preferred.

Basic understanding of age-related differences in caring for and/or communicating with patients and caregivers. Possess personal sensitivity to the needs and experiences of others and a non-judgmental attitude towards persons of differing standards, values, lifestyles, and ages.
