Job Description

The Front Office Specialist (FOS) provides exceptional customer service and performs various administrative tasks in a fast-paced healthcare environment. The ideal candidate has prior customer service experience and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities
  1. Customer Service
  • Greet patients and guests warmly
  • Answer calls and direct them appropriately
  • Schedule appointments
  • Inform patients about delays or wait times
  • Coordinate with clinical staff for a smooth patient experience
  • Manage patient call wait times
  • Operations/Revenue Cycle
    • Register and check in patients
    • Collect co-pays and outstanding balances
    • Manage cash allowances
    • Check patients out
    • Send appointment reminders
  • Administrative
    • Coordinate with the clinic regarding visitors and requests
    • Perform other duties as assigned
    Qualifications
    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • 1-2 years front office experience in healthcare or a physician practice
    • Previous customer service experience
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
