Castleton Commodities International is seeking motivated Front Office Software Engineering Interns for our Stamford, CT team. You will build software that impacts trading, analytics, and investment workflows, collaborating with data scientists and traders.

You’ll develop in Python, utilize AWS cloud services, and contribute to dashboards and data pipelines. Strong curiosity about financial markets and a fast-paced environment is expected.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical field.
• Expected graduation Winter 2027 or Spring/Summer 2028.
• Strong Python programming experience (Pandas/NumPy).
• Familiarity with Git and software development best practices.
• Interest in financial markets and trading systems.
• Excellent communication in a fast-paced, collaborative setting.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to development of front office software tools for real-time trading, analytics, and visualization.
• Collaborate with traders to optimize pricing models and trading workflows.
• Build Python-based microservices and APIs for data access and automation.
• Create data visualization dashboards integrating KPIs and price curves.
• Work on cloud-native apps using AWS, Kubernetes, and Kafka.
• Assist in DevOps automation with Git, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Partner with Data Science to integrate ML-driven analytics.
