The ideal candidate understands how Fixed Income products, particularly swaps, behave throughout the trading lifecycle and can translate that knowledge into effective automated test coverage.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain automated test suites for Fixed Income trading applications
  • Build Python-based automation for front-office sales and trading workflows
  • Create API and UI automation
  • Perform functional, regression, component, integration, and trade-lifecycle testing
  • Validate swaps, derivatives, cash flows, market data, and system integrations
  • Test trade amendments, cancellations, payments, and other lifecycle events
  • Build test coverage around business, financial, and regulatory requirements
  • Analyze failed tests, isolate defects, and troubleshoot underlying causes
  • Partner with developers, QA engineers, traders, salespeople, and technology stakeholders
  • Support the migration from legacy trading platforms to newer unified workflows
  • Maintain test plans, test data, execution results, and defect documentation
Role Requirements:
  • Professional QA or test-automation engineering experience
  • Strong understanding of interest‑rate swaps and trading workflows
  • API and UI test‑automation experience
  • Experience testing trading platforms or sales and trading applications
  • Knowledge of functional, regression, component, and integration testing
  • Ability to validate trade lifecycles, calculations, and cash flows
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and defect‑investigation skills
  • Effective communication with technical and business stakeholders
  • Ability to complete a live Python coding assessment
  • Ability to work onsite in Charlotte 2-3 days weekly
Nice to Have:
  • OIS swaps, inflation swaps, swaptions, CDS, or total‑return swaps
  • Bonds, repos, futures, options, or other Fixed Income products
  • Selenium, TestNG, or comparable automation frameworks
  • Market‑data or regulatory testing
  • CI/CD experience
  • Investment‑bank, hedge‑fund, or broader Capital Markets experience
  • Trading‑platform modernization or legacy‑system replacement experience
