Job summary

Phillips 66 seeks a Natural Gas Market Research Advisor II to support the trading team with market fundamentals, short- term/supply-demand analyses, and trader support in North America and globally. This role partners with lead strategists, regional analysts, and traders to build and maintain models and insights that drive tradable opportunities and long-term strategies.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of commercial/trading experience in the energy industry
• Exposure to advanced quantitative platforms (e.g., Python, Claude code, Dataiku)
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Responsibilities

• Communicate natural gas supply demand fundamentals and market insights in balance meetings and forums
• Understand trading opportunities and evaluate additional analysis for opportunities
• Develop and maintain supply/demand models using pipeline flow, storage, and LNG data
• Integrate natural gas balances into related trading bench balances including NGLs
• Build balances for key gas regions, pipelines, storage, and hubs to show trajectories
• Lead ad-hoc market fundamental analysis projects and trend forecasting
