Job Description - Front Office Medical Assistant - Harris Women's Care (7463-13103)
We offer an optional $1,500 Sign-on Bonus for Medical Assistants. A 1-year commitment period is required. The bonus payout occurs over the 1-year period.

Position Summary:
Medical Assistants are vital members of our healthcare team. We provide on-the-job training and career assistance to help you become a Certified Medical Assistant.
This front office position involves scheduling, insurance management, and implementing Centering OB. Responsibilities also include checking eligibility for Vaxcare, filling in as a referral specialist, assisting with patient care, preparing documentation, obtaining vitals, medical history, and other pertinent information. You will also prepare exam rooms and assist with procedures and lab sample collection as directed by the provider.
Bilingual (Spanish) proficiency is strongly desired.
Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED. Certification is not required, but previous experience in a medical setting is preferred. Excellent customer service, independence, strong communication, basic math, and computer literacy are essential. BLS certification (CPR) must be obtained within 30 days of hire and maintained.
Physical and Environmental Requirements: Extended walking, standing, bending, and stooping; hearing and visual acuity; repetitive work; lifting up to 25 pounds.
