Job summary

Chicago Trading Company (CTC) is seeking a Front Office Developer to collaborate with traders, quants and technologists to deliver high‑impact, full‑stack solutions at the heart of our trading ecosystem. You will work on systems critical to our success, with a focus on performance, reliability and innovative technology in a collaborative, fast‑paced environment.

The role involves partnering with technology teams, staying current on product features and industry trends, and contributing to design

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work alone or in a team.
• Ability to create pragmatic solutions balancing tactical and strategic needs.
• Ability to triage issues quickly and drive to resolution.
• Strong knowledge in Java and/or Python.
• If Java is your strength, baseline Python knowledge is required.
• Experience in the Financial Industry (options experience) is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Partner with other technology teams to use existing services and solutions for business partners.
• Stay up to date on product features, technology, and computing trends.
• Collaborate with traders, quants and technologists to drive requirements.
• Architect high performance full stack solutions to tackle business problems.
• Participate and share expertise during design and code reviews.
