Job summary

Mondrian Alpha is seeking a compliance officer for its New York team, a front-office facing role with exposure to PMs and senior leadership. The job blends day-to-day advisory duties with shaping and enhancing the broader compliance framework.

You will partner with Portfolio Managers and senior stakeholders on trading activity, regulatory matters, and new business initiatives, while driving surveillance and automation projects in a growing, global hedge fund environment.

Qualifications

• Advisory or generalist compliance experience within hedge funds, asset managers, or investment banks.
• Knowledge of investment management regulation and trading-related compliance.
• Ability to partner with PMs and senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Partner directly with Portfolio Managers, providing practical compliance guidance across trading activity and regulatory matters
• Support new business initiatives and regulatory developments alongside Legal, Risk, Product, and Operations
• Enhance surveillance and compliance processes, with opportunities to lead automation and technology-driven projects
• Advisory or generalist compliance experience within a hedge fund, asset manager, or investment bank
• Knowledge of investment management regulation and trading-related compliance
• The confidence to challenge and influence investment professionals and senior stakeholders
