• One year of medical front office experience with ability to serve as a resource and identify process improvements.
• Proficient in using computer systems and typing.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite: Outlook, Word, Teams, Excel.

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $26.63 based on direct and relevant experience.

RAYUS Radiology is looking for a Front Office Associate II to join our team. We are challenging the status quo by shining light on radiology and making it a critical first step in diagnosis and proper treatment. Come join us and shine brighter together! As a Front Office Associate II, you will be responsible for providing services to patients and referring professionals by answering phones, scheduling appointments, and greeting and registering patients in a cheerful, professional, and sincere manner. In addition, this role serves as a resource to the front office team and other departments, and completes special projects as assigned.

This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week; Shifts are Mondays 9:00am - 5:30pm and Tuesday through Friday, 11:30am - 8:00pm.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:

(60%) Registration

1. Greet and checks-in patients scheduled for imaging services; processes payment as needed
2. Answer phones and handles calls in an efficient and friendly manner
3. Field phone calls appropriately for Center Team Members
4. Act as liaison between imaging technologists and the patients waiting for exams, and relays messages regarding scanner status and other Clinic information
5. Maintain organization of the front office lobby area by straightening magazines, organizing coffee supplies and assisting with general office cleanup
6. Order office supplies as needed
7. Maintain supply of patient information sheets
8. Push patient imaging via electronic interfaces
9. Complete patient appointment confirmation calls and provide preparation instructions to patients
10. Fax/scan reports, billing information, and medical release forms as requested

(15%) Scheduling

1. Arrange transportation, interpreters, and hotel accommodations for patients when appropriate
2. Enter and submit patient exam orders
3. Verify patient exam orders match exam schedules
4. Schedule referrals and ensures proper authorizations are obtained
5. Schedule walk-in patients
6. Process requests for image orders and CDs from both the referring physicians and patients
7. Maintain an up-to-date and accurate database of all current and potential referring physicians

(15%) Insurance

1. Verify patient's insurance coverage
2. Pre-certify all patient exams with the patient's insurance company
3. Obtain insurance authorizations
4. Apply knowledge of insurance carriers (example Medicare) and procedures that require waivers to obtain pre-authorization, if needed, prior to patient appointments
5. Facilitate Release of Information (ROI) requests for patients, referring offices, other medical facilities, attorneys & insurance companies following Company guidelines

(5%) Team Support

1. Function as a mentor/resource to the team and other departments
2. Assist with the onboarding and training of new FOA team member hires, as applicable
3. Support process improvement initiatives to improve accuracy and patient experience
4. Assist with special projects as assigned

Required:

1. High School Diploma, or equivalent
2. Two (2) years' Customer Service experience
3. One (1) year experience in medical front office experience, with demonstrated ability to serve as a resource to others and identify process improvement opportunities
4. Proficient in using computer systems and typing
5. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; Outlook, Word, Teams, Excel

Preferred:

1. Medical terminology and office background

3. Bilingual
